“I locked myself in a prison in my early adolescent years in MANY ways. Specifically speaking to dance…for the last 20 years of my life I felt like I was in a box and wanted so badly to come out. Its been a courageous act of discomfort to begin to DANCE when I never gave myself the opportunity before. Last weeks session was a beautiful connection to my adolescent self and hugging her and telling her shes perfect as she is and she was BORN TO DANCE. So many tears. Connecting to HER feels so wholesome and EXCITING….permission to move and express in every sense of the word(s).
