10 Signs You're Experiencing Chronic Inflammation
There are a lot of markers of health that are important, but if you want to simplify your focus to reduce overwhelm – reducing inflammation is the place to concentrate!
One way to look at inflammation is to think of it like a fire in the body.
If you have a fire in your house, do you finish folding the laundry before you put it out? Or do you drop everything you’re doing to make sure it’s put out and everyone is safe?
Most likely you chose the latter, and that is exactly what your body does when inflammation is present. Inflammation diverts precious energy and resources away from healing other parts of your body.
Inflammation and I have had quite the journey over the years and it’s so important to me because it’s a root cause of dis-ease and can significantly reduce the quality of life when it goes unchecked or unmanaged for too long.
“The prevalence of diseases associated with chronic inflammation is anticipated to increase persistently for the next 30 years in the United States. Worldwide, 3 of 5 people die due to chronic inflammatory diseases like stroke, chronic respiratory diseases, heart disorders, cancer, obesity, and diabetes.” ~ National Center for Biotechnology Information
Inflammatory diseases span a wide array of conditions but include: allergies, asthma, celiac’s disease, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.
While, inflammation is a normal and healthy reaction from the immune system when the body is fighting anything it perceives to harm it such as an injury, pathogen, toxin, or virus when it gets out of control it can wreak havoc throughout the body – especially how you feel on a day-to-day basis.
